A short walk away, we will visit the renowned Hagia Sophia, an architectural marvel constructed in 532 AD by Roman Emperor Justinian I. Nearby, you will find the Blue Mosque, famous for its exquisite blue Iznik tiles. Continuing our exploration, we will proceed to Topkapi Palace, a grand residence of the Ottoman sultans and a center for administration and education. Built between 1460 and 1478 by Sultan Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople, the palace will captivate you with its treasury, Chinese Porcelain collection, and weapons section. Afterward, we will venture to the Grand Bazaar, an iconic covered market that has stood since 1461. With its extensive network of 58 covered streets and over 1,200 shops, the bazaar offers a vibrant shopping experience, showcasing a variety of items including jewelry, pottery, spices, and carpets. Finally, we will conclude the tour with a drive back to the port, marking the end of our services.
Important information to note:
• The minimum required time for this tour is 7 hours.
• Please note that Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays, the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and Turkish public and religious holidays, and the Jewish museum and Synagogues are closed on Saturdays and during Jewish holidays.
• On these specific days, alternative museums/sites will be substituted in the itinerary based on convenience and schedule. The order of visits may also be changed for the smooth running of the tour.
